Ratings Watchkeeping COC – Support Level, Rule II/4 or III/4 requires the following:

  • Medical Certificate is applicable for all ranks, both deck, engine and ratings.

Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on Vessels of 500 GRT or more/Regulation II/1

    • Diploma from a maritime training centre recognized by IMMARBE attesting that theholder has received training in accordance with section A-II/1 and Table A-II/1 of the
      STCW Code.
    • Evidence of having compete seagoing service for not less than 12 months in a vessel of more than 500 GRT
    • Basic First Aid Course
    • Basic Fire Fighting Course
    • Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
    • Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques
    • Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats
    • RADAR and ARPA Course

Chief Mate/ Officer on Vessels of 3000 GRT or more/ Regulation II/2

    • Upgrading Course for Chief Mates (Section A-II/2)
    • Advance Fire Fighting Course
    • Medical Care Course
    • RADAR and ARPA Course
    • GMDSS General Operator Course
    • Proficiency in Survival Crafts and Rescue Boats
    • Basic Fire Fighting Course
    • Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
    • Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques
    • Basic First Aid Course
    • Ship Security Officer Course

Master on Vessels of 3000 GRT or more / Regulation II/2

    • Upgrading Course for Masters (Section A-II/2)

    • Diploma/ Certificate from a maritime training centre recognized by IMMARBE stating that the holder has received training in accordance with Regulation III/1, Se3ction A-III/1, Table A-III/1 of the STCW Code
    • Evidence of having complete not less than 12 months of seagoing service
    • Basic First Aid Course
    • Basic Fire Fighting Course
    • Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
    • Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques
    • Proficiency in Survival Crafts and Rescue Boats

 

Second Engineer on Vessels with Propulsion machinery of 3000 KW or more
